50 years of shoemaking over 3 generations , along with all our experience, have been taken into account when developing our Kontorline. When doing so, we did not only fancy the unique character of its classical appearance. Moreover, a great many ideas have been put into reality in our Kontorline, something you will not be experiencing until wearing it and you surely will not want to live without. At first glance, this catches your eye when taking a look at the construction of the upper and lining, both having been cut to size using only one piece of leather. In this way, seams are avoided in the shoe, resulting in a first-class fitting and wearing. Another essential task in our efforts taken, was to develop a unique making of the shoe base which combines its classical appearance of welted shoes with the comfort and the flexibility of a playshoe. That is why we have given this new aspect in the area of business shoes a special name:

Vitallo – TroisCoutures (3seams)-making

In this process, each shoe’s welt, upper leather and midsole are linked with three individual seams in sequence. In order to finish this stage of shoe manufacturing up to 270 stitches per shoe have to be done by hand. When creating a Vitallo shoe of the Kontorline, craftsmanship criteria are of highest importance as it is only the human hand that really knows how to handle leather in such a perfect manner and to create a unique pair of shoes in about 40 hours of work.
